Cedarburg Junior Woman's Club will host its 20th Wearable Art Show. Kicking off the weekend's activities on Friday, March 31, is a breast cancer fundraiser at the Cedarburg Cultural Center. The fundraiser (7pm-9pm) is open to the public. It offers a great opportunity to shop while enjoying appetizers, desserts and music (plus cash bar).
The Bosom Buddy Walk/Run, sponsored by Port Washington State Bank, was introduced in 2006 as an addition to the Wearable Art Show. The walk/run will take place at 9am on Saturday. Participants are invited to register for the 5K officially timed run course and walkers may choose from a 5K chip timed run or a one-mile run run/walk. Register for 5K walk/run at www.eventbrite.com.
The Wearable Art Show is one of the premier shows in the Midwest. The show takes place at the CCC and draws unique vendors who showcase clothing, jewelry, handbags and other accessories. All proceeds benefit breast cancer education, prevention, research and treatment.
