Description

Free Book Talk- Alfred: The Quiet History of a WWII Infantryman

"Alfred" compiles a lifetime panorama of one infantryman who never wanted a part in the war but accepted it. He was a reluctant front-line machine gunner in Europe from 1944 to 1945. He returned home, discernibly the gentle Wisconsin farmer he was when he left.

The local author taught school in Waukesha and Wauwatosa school districts. As her father began to tell her his story later in life, she drew on her knowledge of psychology thanks to her St. Norbert College degree.
Light Refreshments will be served.
